American Whey Protein mixes great, doesn’t taste that great

November 21st, 2009

I used to be an avid drinker of weight gainers and some pretty substantial protein supplements. As I aged, I noticed that my body and metabolism just weren’t what they used to be, so I began looking for a product that cut out some of the extra calories while giving me enough protein to support the muscle I spent years building as I aged. I found American Whey protein by chance, and after some short deliberation, I settled on it and began to use it.

American Whey Protein is a pleasure to take

November 21st, 2009

American Whey Protein by ASN is pretty good stuff. I’ve never been a fan of taking higher calorie shakes, and when looking for a protein dense product with little excess, it has been a difficult search. American Whey Protein however gives me almost the ideal blend of what I’m looking for, and that is tough to beat.

American Whey Protein tastes like chalk, but gives the nutrition needed

November 21st, 2009

American Whey protein is another protein that falls into the “necessary evil” category. Being an athlete, Muscle Milk had been my preferential poison for a long time, but as I’m getting older, I’ve noticed my body doesn’t exactly respond as well to the high fat content during the off season. I tend to work a lot more and am nowhere near as active when I’m in my postseason recovery, and taking muscle milk just as a protein supplement started putting on some unwanted weight. So, for the meantime, I decided to look for something a little leaner to hold me off until my training starts again.

American Whey Protein gives no stomach problems and tastes better than expected

November 21st, 2009

American Whey protein from ASN nutrition is one of the few protein products that I can take and actually not despise. Where most protein powders you see will come with 20 grams of basic whey protein, they all will be packaged with a few grams of lactose. On top of that, basic proteins tend to give me a bit of gastric discomfort when I take them, and that is largely due to the high amounts of whey protein concentrate on top of the lactose. ASN’s American Whey protein has no lactose and high amounts of whey protein isolate which is much easier on my stomach and does a much better job of being digested.

American Whey Protein Works Great, But The Taste Could Be A Little Better

November 20th, 2009

American Whey Protein is a protein powder offered by ASN, and it is intended to help provide protein that I need because of my intense training schedule. I train five times a week, and I train hard. I am not talking about an hour here and there during the week, but grueling sessions that last hours and leave me exhausted and depleted. American Whey Protein is supposed to help me replace protein that my muscles need to grow and complete repairs when I am done working out. There are twenty grams of protein per serving, but do not think that this is a gainer powder, far from it. I want to gain muscle mass, not fat, and there are only one hundred and four calories per serving. This lets me get the protein I need without a lot of calories or other unwanted ingredients as well.

American Whey Protein: Does It Really Work?

November 20th, 2009

American Whey Protein is a protein supplement manufactured by ASN, and this product makes many claims. Are they true though, or is this just hype to draw in customers? To start with there are a number of flavors to choose from, including wildberry and peach cobbler, so I had a variety of choices. After I purchased the Tropical Banana flavor, I went home and made up a drink to see just how bad it was going to be. Many protein powders say that they offer great taste, but I know from past experience that few actually taste good. American Whey Protein surprised me, because the taste was not bad and the powder mixed together very smoothly without having to use a blender. According to the label there are twenty grams of protein in each serving, but not a lot of calories or carbohydrates so I do not get a lot of things I do not want or need.

American Whey Protein: Raving fan!

November 20th, 2009

I am officially a raving fan of american whey protein! I can’t believe how many flavors this comes in. I stood at the shelves, just staring for the longest time. The price was so good, I decided to get chocolate and vanilla. When I blended it up, it did have a bit more foam than a lot of others, but it didn’t last long. I drank it down and it tasted SO good! I am drinking two per day and I feel great. Read the rest of this entry »

If You Want A Weight Gainer American Whey Protein Is Not It

November 19th, 2009

American Whey Protein is a good product, with plenty of protein and very few carbohydrates. If you are looking for a weight gainer though, this is not it and you should look elsewhere instead. With only one hundred and four calories per serving and very few carbs, this supplement will not help you gain weight. I have used it for two months now, and it is a great protein powder that mixes smoothly and actually tastes like a beverage that is meant to be consumed, instead of toxic waste or dirt clumps in swamp water with flavoring added to cover the horrendous taste. American Whey Protein comes in many delicious flavors, and some of them sound almost good enough to make you drool. This supplement does one thing, provide a moderate amount of protein, but it does this very well. I like it for this simplicity, instead of a product that tries to do many things, and fails at all of them.

American Whey Protein: Mixes well and tastes great!

November 19th, 2009

By far, this is the best whey protein powder on the market. It mixes well, whether you use a shaker or a blender. It does seem to froth a bit more than most, but, the froth will disappear in about 2 to 3 minutes. A lot of powders have that chalky taste and you just gulp it down. Read the rest of this entry »

American Whey Protein Is So Smooth

November 19th, 2009

I tried American Whey Protein, and this has a lot going for it. I need a protein supplement but I do not want a gainer or high calorie drink. A friend told me about American Whey, and how it offered twenty grams of protein with only around one hundred calories. When I looked at it in the store there were plenty of choices when it came to flavors, so I purchased a container of the peach cobbler variety. I was surprised at just how smooth this powder mixes, not like the others that claim smoothness but actually are lumpy and bumpy, with bubbles of powder that are gritty. American Whey Protein actually tastes good when mixed with apple juice, making it taste similar to a peach and apple juice combination. It can also be mixed with water or milk if you prefer.
