Being a former employee of a nutritional products company, I’ve tried hundreds, maybe even thousands of nutritional products, many of those protein powders. Most of those protein powders I tried tasted like watery chalk, were overpriced or just didn’t perform for me. I can say that American Whey protein does not fall under and of these descriptors, in fact, just the opposite.
I was pleasantly surprised after purchasing my first tub, a 3lb banana flavored. First off, the price, a cool $20, was well worth it. The powder mixes perfectly with a shaker cup using water or milk. The taste is probably this protein powder’s best feature. It actually tastes GOOD. With milk, I found the shake to taste very much like a malt banana shake you might get at a good local ’50s diner or something. Truly, this protein powder made drinking these shakes easy and enjoyable, which is something not many protein powders can lay claim to.
